Fall of the Krays cast

Action & adventure.

Simon Cotton as Ronnie Kray; … With Gary Kemp, Martin Kemp, Billie Whitelaw, Tom Bell. When Reggie and Frances are talking in the garden of their mum's house, it can be clearly seen that one of the neighbours houses has UPVC double glazed windows. Frank Mitchell was sprung from Dartmoor Prison by the Krays 10 days before Christmas 1966.

This fact-based movie follows the life of the twin crime-lords in London's '60s underworld. These did not exist in 1960s. But I had heard about a few of the actors and was keen to see their performances on the big screen. This also leads to a very sad decline in the relationship Reggie has with his newly wed.Overall the story was very easy to follow and really played on all the elements you’d want to see in a gangster movie. Two feuding groups, lots of blood, guns, money and mafia moments, coupled with an ambitious police officer and a prisoner who’s not the sharpest henchman in a group of thugs. As I mentioned, I’m not one to typically venture into gangster world, but I did enjoy this, mostly due to strong performances and the director’s choice to show us the effects of a man losing his edge, and its impact on his sibling. Directed by Peter Medak.

Chronicles the rise and fall of a prominent, and particularly ruthless English gangster. A series of dramatic events and grisly murders bring about the twins' ultimate downfall.

Watching Ronnie’s decline is very moving and the director’s choices managed to catch my breath a few times.Truth be told it did lag in a few spots and could have been tightened but I don’t think this massively detracted from the movie. When Justin's girlfriend of 5 years leaves him heartbroken and embarrassed after a public breakup, his trying to be helpful but somewhat misguided friends talk him into the strange world of on-line dating.
Directed by Richard John Taylor. With Marc Pickering, Rachel Warren, Brian Capron, Sherrie Hewson.

The infamous 'Chelsea Smile' scene was reduced in the UK cinema version but was later restored fully uncut for video releases after 2002.

One of the poems read in the early portion of the film, when the Krays are still children, is "Alone" by Edgar Allan Poe, the last line of which, "Of a demon in my view", hints at the evil of the Kray boys.
