By attaining autonomy, Seether seems to have rediscovered their vitality. So consistant with all their albums . Stoke The Fire is a good example which starts off basic but then Shaun is yelling Who's Going To Stoke The Fire with that Aaron Lewis like yell (Staind Singer if you don;t know). (with the exception of their cover of "Careless Whisper", but I hated the hell out of that song before they covered it, so it doesn't count.) It's heavy and catchy with a lot of aggression. Something Else 4. Betray and Degrade 3. Every song has its quirks, and resonate very, very well. Its actually quite refreshing to hear a band go this heavy when a lot of established bands have been going for the lighter pop sound. Very well executed lyrics and very relatable too! Fortunately they really upped their game on this one and made a great album, with this definitely being one of their heavier efforts. Seether have always been a mixed bag for me, with some of their albums being great (disclamer) and some being a bit generic (Karma and Effect). Stand out tracks are Stoke the Fire, Let You Down, Let Me Heal, Sell My Soul, and bonus track Feels Like Dying, but there are a few other pretty good songs on this album, as well. The whole album is great. Then it was like the edge was lost. There isn't a bad song in the bunch and this easily their third best album they have put out. I had given up on them. You can tell they got away from a record label that controls the type of music released. The highlights are spread throughout the album, giving the entire album a listen is mandatory. ;) Poison The Parish is another winner- the perfect blend of melody and crunch. Many of the songs on this CD start off with basic riffs but build and there are more changes during songs then Seether has ever had.
