The Klan was very active during this period and the Harlem Renaissance was acknowledged as the first important movement of Black artists and writers in the U.S. The Southeastern Region of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, through Community Conscious, Action-Oriented Programming, will render service to its communities, its states and on national and international levels, in academics, health, and through social engagement, while fostering sisterhood and embodying Finer Womanhood in thoughts, actions, and deeds. Charted on the campus of the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, Gamma Delta has been dedicated to upholding our founding principles of scholarship, service, sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood as well as keeping our Heels, Heads, and Standards HIGH since 1970.
